Michael was born in Preston, Lancashire and spent most of his youth drawing and bird watching. He was 'Student of the Year' at Blackpool College of Art and left to be a publishing wildlife illustrator. As a naturalist he visits sanctuaries around the world meticulously sketching and planning his paintings. His knowledge and own highly developed technique makes him one of the best wildlife artists in the world today.Having accompanied Alan Hunt on his recent trip to The Ranthambore National Park, Michael Jackson continues our tiger series with his interpretation of the species in the wild.
